What printers, media and inks do you use?
We use Canon iPF8000 12-color inkjet printers. These printers use Canon Lucia pigment inks which are specifically formulated by Canon for archival printing.
For semi-gloss finish canvas we use Sihl's top-of-the-line Water Resistant Satin Canvas. For our matte finish we use Breathing Color canvas. The canvas products are 20 mil thick with 350 and 340 gram weight. All gallery wrap canvas prints use the Breathing Color canvas. This is a 21-mil thick water-resistant canvas weighing in at 450 grams. Our ECO coating process allows us to use it for both matte and gloss finish applications.
Do you offer a guarantee?
Love & Canvas is pleased to offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee on your first order. In the event that you are unhappy with the quality of the product provided and can demonstrate that the issue does not stem from the quality of your supplied image, we will replace your first print free of charge (max replacement size of 16 X 20 rolled canvas or 8 X 10 gallery wrapped canvas). To qualify, you must contact us within one week of receiving your canvas print. Some small irregularities in the canvas surface are normal and do not quality for a refund. All orders must be returned to us to qualify for a refund. Please contact us for details on where and how to return your canvas.
Do you use a sealer on your canvas prints?
Rolled Canvas: We use the Premier Art Print Shield Spray to provide additional UV protection on all rolled canvas prints which ensures superior longevity and lightfastness.
Gallery Wrap: All canvas prints are coated with Premier Art ECO Coating at no additional cost (matte for matte orders and gloss for semigloss orders). Please Note: ECO Coating may be ordered for rolled canvas by special request. This product (the Premier Art ECO Print Coating) provides additional UV protection (i.e. fade resistance), as well as substantial moisture resistance, scratch, scuff and crack-resistance protection. Please be aware that all canvas prints can be damaged by direct contact with excessive water even with the protective spray.
Will my canvas prints fade over time?
Your prints will remain bright and vivid for many, many years to come. Our Canon Lucia pigment inks were independently rated by the Wilhelm Image Research Institute at 100 years of lightfastness without coating or sprays. On top of that, we apply either our Premier Art Print Shield Spray or our Premier Art ECO Print Coating to provide additional UV protection and fade resistance.
What type of image files do you accept?
We accept .JPG, .TIF, .PNG and .GIF. For the best print results we recommend .TIF or high-quality .JPG.
Do you offer photo touch-ups or effects?
We offer red-eye reduction, color->black and white conversion, and color->sepia conversion free of charge (must indicate on the order form at time of order). To optimize your images for printing, we will often sharpen and adjust the color levels at our discretion using our years of canvas printing experience. You can bypass this service on the order form (deselect "Print Optimization").
Do you employ any color management techniques?
Our printers and monitors are calibrated to use the Adobe 1998 colorspace. However, if your images have a color profile embedded, we will use it instead. We do our best to reproduce your colors accurately but cannot offer color reproduction guarantees.
What kind of shipping options do you offer?
All orders are shipped by USPS Priority (US) and USPS Air Mail (Canada). Typical delivery time once your order has been processed and shipped is 3-4 business days in the US, 10+ business days to Canada. Larger shipments may be sent by FEDEX (US only). We cannot guarantee delivery times through USPS or any 3rd party shipper. At this time, we only ship to the US and Canada.
What kind of payments do you accept?
We accept Visa and Mastercard.
Do you offer phone support?
At this time, we do not offer phone support as it is easier to communicate via email and helps to keep our costs (and prices) lower.
Can I order prints that are not wedding/engagement related?
Of course! We are very happy to take orders for photos that are not wedding or engagement related. Our site is currently targeted at to-be-weds and newlyweds, but we definitely want your business too! Please feel free to order prints of any images you choose.
